Spotted seal Phoca largha is considered typically pagophilic species, but in the Peter the Great Bay of the Sea of Japan it is closely associated with specific coastal sites all the year round. 4 types of largha inshore associations (preliminary, breeding, molting and rehabilitative) predictedly connected with certain types of haulout locuses are cyclically formed on the islands of the bay. Principles of formation and features of functioning, as well as structure, specificity of dynаmics, the degree of aggregation and behavior features of each type of inshore associations are considered.
