Regeneration of broadleaved-cedar forests after harvest cuttings has been studied at the Verhneussurick Station (upper Ussuri River, Primorskyi Krai). Perspectives of restoration of Pinus koraiensis role depends on its share in the composition of secondary forest associations. Natural reproduction of P. Koraiensis is possible when it constitutes 20% and more in composition of stand. Experimental thinning in the secondary associations has been running for 20-25 years. Restoration of role of P. Koraiensis as the main forest maker can be advanced for 40 years by thinning.
