Resveratrol displays a wide range of biological and pharmacological properties. A better understanding of the regulation of resveratrol biosynthesis has fundamental and applied interests. We investigated the effects of salycilic acid treatment and transformation with rol genes of Agrobacterium rhizogenes on the levels of resveratrol production and stilbene synthase gene expression in cell cultures of Vitis amurensis.
