The qualitative and quantitative properties of organic mater in main types of soils: mountain brown forest, mountain brown foret podzolized, taiga brown podzolized gley soil, mountain humus-illuvic soil, brown alluvial soil were investigated. The humic conditions (the type of humus, the profile humus distributiob, the optical properties, the reserve of humus and ets)in the types of soil were studied.
