Wesmaelius vaillanti (Navas, 1927) is recorded from the Voronezhskaya Oblast of Russia for the first time. This species is typical for dry steppes and semi-deserts of Eurasia. However, the northern-most occurrences of the species in Eastern Europe including Voronezhskaya Oblast were made in forest-steppe regions.
