Long-term growing callus cultures of D. rotundifolia were obtained for the first time: morphogenic line Green and partially differentiated rolC-transgenic line Red. Histological analysis revealed the presence of organogenesis and direct somatic embryogenesis in the Green line and cell differentiation in the Red line. Based on the HPLC method with UV and mass selective detection, 11 compounds were identified: ellagic acid, glycopyranoside 3-O-methylellagic acid, 4-O-D-glycopyranoside 3,3'-di-O-methylellagic acid, 3,3'-di-O-methylellagic acid, rossoliside, sinapoylglucose, gallocatechin gallate, 3-O-galactoside quercetin, 3-O-quercetin glucoside, 3-O-myricetin galactoside, and 3-O-myricetin glucoside. Differences in the accumulation of naphthoquinones, ellagic acid and its derivatives, and flavones depending on the type of formed tissues and organs were revealed.
