It was revealed that the application of biochar in the field without a drainage system reduces CO2 emissions. Thus, the cumulative flow of CO2 at the biochar dose application of 3 kg·m −2 decreased by 36.6% compared to the control. The biochar application at a dose of 1 kg·m-2 reduced the cumulative flow by 4.5% compared to the control. The biochar application increased CO2 emissions in the field with a drainage system. The biochar application at dose of 3 kg·m-2 increased the cumulative flow by 39.9% while the dose of 1 kg·m-2 increased it by 16% as compared to the site without the biochar application.
