The superfamily Noctuoidea is the largest group of the Lepidoptera, comprising six families and ca. 42,500 species in 3,772 genera of the world and five families and 1314 species in Korea. Recent systematic studies based on molecular and morphological characters revealed more or less robust relationships among families and subfamilies. Therefore, we provide this updated species list of the Noctuoidea and replacement, new suggestion and changes of suffix of the Korean vernacular name.
