We have considered the assessing of 18 tree species growing in Primorsky Krai in the IUCN Red List. In some cases, the risk of disappearance or drastic reduction of the species is overestimated. This applies to Picea jezoensis (Siebold et Zucc.) Carr. = P. ajanensis, Abies nephrolepis, Betula costata, Maackia amurensis, Chosenia arbutifolias, Carpinus cordata, Pinus koraiensis. Some species included in the IUCN Red List deserve to be assessed in the Red Book of Primorsky Krai. This is Abies holophylla and Alnus japonica.
