Properties of soils and a vegetable cover of components of the representative natural soil catena passing on the mountain range put by carbonate and granite rocks are syudied. The attention is focused on morfological, physicomechanical, chemical properties and antierosion stability of soils. The destruction question is taken especially up by lichens of fragments of carbonate rocks. The monograph is addressed to a wide range of the experts dealing with issues of geography, physics and ecology of soils; it can be applied in education when training undergraduates soil scientists and ecologists.
