The Maximowicz's vole Microtus maximowiczii (Rodentia) is extended from Transbaikalia, Mongolia, the Northeast of China to south part of Russian Far East (the Amur region and the Jewish Autonomous Region). For this species was described five chromosomal forms: A: 2n = 39 - 44, NF = 53 - 60 (Buryatiya), B: 2n = 38 - 42, NF = 54 - 57 (Buryatiya), C: 2n = 39 - 41, NF = 55 - 60 (Far East) and V: 2n = 36 - 40, NF = 52 - 56 (Transbaikalia and Mongolia). We investigated karyotype of 36 individuals of Maximowicz's vole from six earlier not investigated populations of the territory Middle Amur river (chromosomal form C). The large majority animals has karyotype with 40 chromosomes and fewer – 41 chromosomes. By FISH the analysis of chromosomes has shown stabilisation Robertsonian reorganizations of chromosomes 11, 20 for individuals from all investigated populations. The analysis of control region mtDNA from karyotytined individuals has shown complex genetic variety of individuals Maximowicz's vole from the investigated region.
