The viruses those are especially dangerous for vegetable plants have been identified in the Russian Far East: Cucumber mosaic virus, Tobacco mosaic virus, Turnip mosaic virus, Radish mosaic virus, Cauliflower mosaic virus and Watermelon mosaic virus. A list of the main insect vectors of these viruses is discussed as well as the features of the interaction of the virus with the host plant and vector. Recommendations on the prevention and control of the spread of viral diseases of vegetable plants are given.
