A new chironomid species Cricotopus (s.str.) leleji sp.n. and C. (s.str.) storozhenkoi sp.n. of the C. tremulus species group from the Russian Far East are described and illustrated by adult males, pupae and fourth instar larvae. Taxonomy of the close related to C. (s.str.) tremulus (Linnaeus) species is discussed and key for identification of these ones is given.
