Pteronarcys macra Ra, Baik et Cho, 1991 from South Korea is a new junior synonym of P. sachalina Klapálek, 1908. P. sachalina is frequently sympatric with P. reticulata Burmeister, 1839, and new characters to distinguish the larvae of both species are presented.
