Populations of Pogonia japonica in Russia were bigger in size than those in Japan. Life histore stratege in Pogonia japonica was generelly the same in both areas studied. The plants of Epipactis thunbergii and Habenaria radiata studied in Japan showed higher speed of growth and higher intensity of vegetative reproduction than those in Russia. Those differences may be explained by climatic differencens as well as genetic differences.
