A male and female of the Potamanthellus rarus imago known earlier from the larva from the Ussuri river are descibed. The main features of the larvae are given/ From similar species of the genus P. amabilis and P. chinensis it differs distinctly by the genital structure and proportions. This is the fourth species of the Potamanthellus genus in the word fauna and the first finding in the USSR.
