An annotated list of 106 taxa of mainly wood-inhabiting stromatic pyrenomycetes of the families Diatrypaceae, Clypeosphaeriaceae, Boliniaceae, Xylariaceae, Valsaceae, and Melanconidaceae from Austria, especially from Styria, is provided. Most of the records are based on recent collections deposited in herb. GZU. Some of the remarkable taxa were already discussed in a similar study by Kahr & al. (1996). A preliminary key to the Diatrypella species recorded here is provided.
