A new species, Sequoioxylon chemrylicum Blokhina sp. nov. is based on anatomical characters of fossil wood from the Paleogene of Chemryl Cape (Chemumaut Bay, Kamchatka). It shows a peculiar combination of anatomical features characteristic of different extant species of the tribe Sequoieae.
