The capture of barcheek goby Rhinogobius similis in Lake Khasan is reported. The lake is located in the southwest of Primorskii krai (42°26′57″ N; 130°36′31″ E). A brief morphological description is given. A fragment of the mitochondrial COI gene was sequenced and compared with haplotypes from other parts of the species range.
