The authors detevariability in humus content, litter ash content and acidity of the surface horizons of brown forest soils at the localites of phytogenic fields of northern, western, and eastern aspects. The difference in studied parameters, in sectors of phytogenic fied has been determined depending on distribution of soil among hydrothermical provinces due to heterogeneity of processes of organic matter transformation.
