Xylaria hemisphaerica sp. nov. is described from China. It was collected from Yunnan Province, and it characterized by its hemispherical stromata with narrow central connections and ascospores with oblique to spiral germ slit. Photographs of stromata and microstructures are provided, and its delimitation from similar taxa is discussed.
