The results on seed regeneration of woody plants obtained in long-term studies of burnt areas in broad-leaved and dark coniferous Pinus koraiensis forests of the Southern Sikhote-Alin are discussed. The main ways of entering woody plant diaspores the burnt areas, composition and numbers of germinating seedlings in litters and soils of the slashes are discussed. The dynamics of the seedlings' number at the first stages of the post-fire development of communities are also analyzed. The changes in the annual height increment in young woody plants, which are combined into groups of fast, moderate, and slow growth and grow on areas exposed to fire of different intensity.
