Large bivalves of the genus Colletopterum Bourguignat 1880 were revised on the basis of their morphological features (shell shape and section of the maximum curvature of valves). Twelve species of the genus belonging to the subgenera Colletopterum s. str. and Piscinaliana Bourguignat 1881 were found in the territory of Russia. Two new species, C. baeri from the Volga River delta and C. milaschevichi from the Lower Volga and Turkish Lake Apoljont. Three species (C. apollonicum (Bourguignat 1880), C. nilssonii (Kuester 1842), and C. rostra-turn (Rossmaessler 1836) were described in Russia for the first time. Analysis of the collection and literature data allowed one to improve synonymy: C. (Piscinaliana) piscinale (Nilsson 1822) = Anodonta cellensis var. selengensis W. Dybowski in B.
