The development of microplants of medicinal and ornamental plant Dasiphora fruticosa (L.) Rydb. in conditions of closed and open ground was investigated. High rates of plant development were observed during the first vegetation period, reflecting in the increased shoot height and the transition to the early generative stage. By the end of the third vegetation period, the formation of massive bushes was noted, reaching the size of the plants in the intermediate generative stage. The applied technology for growing microplants allows reducing the time required to obtain uniform, high-quality planting material for the establishment of plant plantations and their further targeted application.
