The article provides a floristic summary of vascular plants in one of the most important valleys of the middle reaches of the Lena River, Tuymaada, which includes 694 species (339 genera, 86 families). The leading families are Poaceae - 87 species, Asteraceae - 78, Cyperaceae - 45, Rosaceae - 36, Cruciferae - 34, Fabaceae - 31, Ranunculaceae - 29, Caryophyllaceae - 24, Lamiaceae - 21; Polygonaceae, Umbelliferae and Scrophulariaceae - 20 each. The ten leading genera include 132 species (19.0%): Carex - 36 species, Artemisia - 17, Salix and Potentilla - 15 each, Taraxacum - 9; Potamogeton, Agrostis, Elymus Ranunculus, and Astragalus - 8 each. About 270 species (approximately 39% of the flora) belong to the useful plants. There are more than 30 species that have been cultivated, have left the culture, or are spreading spontaneously. Plants that form weeds are represented by 172 species (24.8%), and 196 species (28.2% of the flora) are included in the Industry Classifier of Weeds. The most dangerous one is listed in the Black Books of the flora of regions of Russia (a total of 35 species), 65 plant species have been identified as poisonous. Parasites and semi-parasites are represented by 21 species. The high proportion of the negative component of the Tuymaada valley's flora indicates dangerous trends of natural vegetation degradation, which can lead to irreversible consequences and decrease in the aesthetic and economic attractiveness of natural objects. In the Red Book of Russia are listed 1 species, and 24 species are listed in the Red Book of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia). It is recommended that 93 of the most valuable plant species should be protected. Their population in the Tuymaada Valley is degrading or endangered and they are not included in the Red Book of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia). The first part contains the beginning of a summary based on the Engler system, from the Equisetaceae family to the Potamogetonaceae family (the summary will be continued in the following issues of the journal).
