The life cycle and sexual reproduction of six species of the genus Luticola from non-aquatic habitats, including architectural structures of Vladivostok city ( L. dismutica , L. ectorii , L. permuticoides , L. poulickovae , L. sparsipunctata and L. tenera ), as well as a potentially new species Luticola sp. isolated from the soil of Primorsky Territory and studied with an integrative approach. The analysis combines our own and literature data. It was revealed that all the studied taxa are homothallic, exhibiting a diverse scope of sexual reproduction modes, including cis-, trans-anisogamy, and various types of isogamy. This phenomenon may be attributed to the considerable variability of habitat conditions in non-aquatic ecosystems.
