V. G. Yudin is a leading specialist on terrestrial carnivores of the Russian Far East, who has published more than 200 scientific papers since 1969, including 8 monographs. On February 20, 2025 he turned 85 years old. In 1978 V. G. Yudin organized a research station in Gayvoron, Primorsky Krai, Russia for the experimental study of various aspects of carnivore biology: nutrition, reproduction, growth and development, relationships in family groups, morphology, and others.
