The morphological characteristics, taxonomic composition and di erential diagnosis of the subgenus Bradytus and 18 its species in the fauna of Russia are given, for which the distribution is described and a key is compiled. The lectotypes of Acrodon uralensis Motschulsky, 1844, Bradytus pallidulus Motschulsky, 1844 and Amara reitteri Tschitschérine, 1894 are designated. Amara macra is rst recorded for Sakhalin Island.
