ORTHOPTERA OF THE MURAVYOV-AMURSKY PENINSULA AND ADJACENT ISLANDS OF THE PETER THE GREAT GULF, PRIMORSKY KRAI

An annotated list of 53 species in 39 genera and 9 families of Orthoptera reliably recorded from the Muravyov-Amursky Peninsula and adjacent islands is given. Of them, 48 species are reported from the Muravyov-Amursky Peninsula, and 35 ones from the islands of Peter the Great Bay, including 27 species from Russky Island, 18 from Popova, 12 from Reineke, and 4 species of Orthoptera from Rikorda Island. Moreover, 30 species are new for the fauna of the peninsula, 5 - for Russky Island, 7 - for Popova Island, 12 - for Reineke Island, and one species - for Rikorda Island. The peculiarities of diversity and distribution of Orthoptera in the peninsula and adjacent islands of the Peter the Great Gulf agrees with classical theory of island biogeography, according to which both characters are mainly depends on area of island and distance from mainland.
