The article presents a brief overview of the results of studying the production process, the leading agricultural crops of Primorye and Amur Region in the publications of Ivan Petrovich Kholupenko. Biographical data on different periods of his scientific activity are given. Particular attention is paid to the development of a rice variety model for the northern zone of rice cultivation, as well as scientific articles of practical importance for the breeding and technology of growing rice and soybeans.
