The article discusses the problems of soil conservation as a natural resource and the natural habitat of living organisms. The features of the transformation of the soil cover under the influence of agro- and technogenesis and the most likely ways of soil restoration, taking into account the specifics of the Far Eastern Region of Russia, are considered. The emphasis is placed on the biological factors of restoring the suppressive ability of soils and its fertility under conditions of intensive exploitation.
