Whole-leaved fir (Abies holophylla Maxim.) is an economically valuable tree species of the Far East. The species has a mining value, is used in construction, medicine, hydrolysis and pulp and paper production, etc. It is necessary to take measures for its accelerated reforestation. The realization of this task is possible with the use of growth stimulants. The effect of the growth stimulant Cresacin on germination energy, laboratory germination of seeds and biometric parameters (length and weight) was studied seedlings of whole-leaved fir. Fir seeds were treated with Cresacin stimulant solutions at a concentration of 1 × 10–3–7 × 10–3 ml/l. It was found that the greatest effect on germination energy was exerted by solutions with a drug concentration of 2 × 10–3–6 × 10–3 ml/l (11.3–19.3%) (excess to control – 13–93%); on laboratory germination – with a concentration of 3 × 10–3–6 × 10–3 ml/l, at which it was 41–51%, exceeding the control by 6.8–32.8%. To increase the length of the seedlings, the drug was more effective at concentrations of 2 × 10–3–6 × 10–3 ml/l (exceeding the control by 7.1–30.8%); to accumulate the mass of seedlings – in concentrations of 2 × 10–3–5 × 10–3 ml/l (exceeding the control by 1.4–47.5%).
