The flora of liverworts is described for the immediate vicinity of the thermal springs in Kamchatka. It is revealed that because of the hydrothermal phenomena widely spread in Kamchatka certain thermophilic taxa exist as relicts and a small group of species grows that occur only near the thermal fields over their whole range. In general, the taxonomic diversity of liverworts in thermal habitats is rather low with only 45 species being found.
