Year: 2019 Pages: 178-186The Need to study the quality and sowing properties of seeds in ecologically unfavorable conditions of the Khabarovsk territory is a very important and significant task for forest reproduction and monitoring of populations of the main forest-forming species of the far Eastern region. At reproduction of the woods, especially in Northern regions, all data concerning seed reproduction of species in the given territory, have diagnostic value for an estimation of degree of comfort of existence of plants. Soils of the Khabarovsk territory are characterized by heavy mechanical composition and increased density, that is, they are characterized by negative physical and agrochemical properties. In such conditions, the success of seed germination and development of seedlings depends on the individual fitness of plants of certain species to form viable seeds. Comprehensive quality assessment and genetic control of the seeds of the main forest-forming species are necessary for the development of protection measures and monitoring of their populations.
