Shells of mollusks from the multi-layered Konstantinovka-1 site, the Medieval settlement in Primorsky Territory, were studied. Uncommon specimens of 5 species of marine bivalve mollusks were found: Anadara talmiensis Kalishevich, 1976, Glycymeris yessoensis (Sowerby III, 1889), Crenomytilus grayanus (Dunker, 1853), Mizuhopecten yessoensis (Jay, 1857), and Mya japonica Jay, 1857, one of them is now regionally extinct. The majority of shell fragments collected in the archaeological deposits belongs to the freshwater pearl mussels Dahurinaia dahurica (Middendorff, 1850). Among gastropods, only the freshwater species Cipangopaludina sujfunensis Moskvicheva, 1979 is recorded. Findings of mollusks are dated predominantly by the early Medieval time (epochs of the Mohe and Bohai states). The use of shells by the ancient people is discussed, a comparison of the species richness with other medieval sites of Primorye is made, and assumptions about the places of collecting and delivery ways of mollusks are considered.
