Biotopes plasticity, developed social organization, hybridization with a dog determine the level of survivability of the wolf both in the natural environment and in urban areas. With the disappearance of hunting farms, the wolf was left without “supervision”. Its number has noticeably increased. Active influence on its population is a pressing need. methods for monitoring and managing populations that are acceptable to the Far East are proposed.
