In the Primorsky Krai, the North American invasive species Acanthoscelides pallidipennis was registered on the introduced species Amorpha fruticosa. Of the 26 studied settlements, where A. fruticosa was used in gardening, 19 were found to be affected by the seed beetle A. pallidipennis. Earlier this species of insects was not detected in the Primorsky Krai. The occurrence of the seed beetle is limited to the area in the south-west of Primorsky Krai. This area is located relatively close to the state border with China, which indicates a possible pathway of invasion of the beetle.
