Now on the territory of Primorye there is a rather big area of forest cultures of Korean pine. They are of different age, created mainly under the canopy of subsidiary crops. The current state and productivity of these crops cause concern with members of the general public of forests in the region. The article presents the analysis results of condition of Korean cedar crops in the South of Primorsky Krai, created by the conversion of subsidiary crops. The analysis reveals the important dependence of crop growth on the availability of care. In particular, the decisive role of influence on growth rates of cultures, first of all, tending felling - cleaning, weeding and thinning is shown. It was stated that in the subordinate crops of Korean cedar there are obvious advantages in growth in those areas where at least one thinning was carried out. At the same time, it should be noted that the gap in growth rates is growing with the increase in the culture age.
