The results of a complex analysis (spores and pollen, diatoms, plankton and benthic foraminifera) of bottom sediments of Core LV32-01 from the western part of the Sea of Okhotsk are presented. Fluctuations of microfossil concentration in sediments, changes in the number of dominant taxa and some representatives of ecological groups along the core made it possible to distinguish three complexes formed in the Early, Middle, and Late Holocene. The detailed micropaleontological characteristic is presented for each complex. Changes of the thanatocoenosis characteristics within the intervals specified by the complexes permitted to trace the microorganisms reaction to the paleoenvironment transformations corresponding to some climatostratigraphic subdivisions of the Holocene. The greatest species diversity and the maximum number of fossil organisms have been recorded in the Mid-Holocene sediments (Atlantic phase).
