Thirteen species of trematodes were found in people on territory of Vietnam. Causative agents of paragonimiasis (Paragonimus heterotremus, possibly also other species of this genus), clonorchiasis (Clonorchis sinensis) and opisthorchiasis (Opisthorchis viverrini) have the most distribution and the greatest danger. In addition, another twenty three species, registered in people in various parts of the Earth, were found in animals from Vietnam. Such a wide variety is associated with extreme diversity of landscapes and climate that allows circulating species with different ecological needs to the habitat.
