The paper presents research results on agrohydrological properties of the volcanic ocherous and alluvial soils of the Kamchatka peninsula, created in various ecological conditions. Heterogeneity of soil-forming conditions leaves a mark on their main water physical properties. Availability of specific products of tephra aeration causes specific water physical properties of soils. Involvement of soils in the agricultural turnover leads to changes in the researched parameters.
