In the Russian Far East, the Celastraceae Lindl. plant family is represented by 11 species of the Euonymus L. genus and by 3 species of the Celastrus L. genus. The multi-year ecological research of the birds, consumers of the Celastraceae plant family seeds are given. 55 species of carpophagous birds belonging to 16 families and 4 orders are revealed. The Spindle-tree (Euonymus) seeds are eaten by 52 bird species and the bittersweet (Celastrus) seeds are eaten by 40 bird species. The involvement of these birds in plant dissemination is considered. The active consumers and disseminators of the Celastraceae seeds are such birds as Azure-winged Magpie - Cyanopica cyanus (Pall.), Eurasian jay - Garrulus glandarius (L.), Bohemian waxwing - Bombycilla garrulus (L.), Japanese waxwing - B. japonica (P.F. Siebold ), Red-flanked Bluetail - Tarsiger cyanurus (Pall.), Pale Thrush - Turdus pallidus J.F. Gmelin, Eyebrowed Thrush - T. obscurus J.F. Gmelin, Brown-headed Thrush - T. chrysolaus Temm., Grey-backed Thrush - T. hortulorum P.L. Sclater, and some others.
