Potato globoderosis is caused by two species of nematodes. One of those, Globodera rostochiensis (Wollenweber, 1923), has been spread in the Russian Far East. Another, G. pallida (Stone, 1973), is not found in Russia. The wormwood nematode Globodera artemisiae (Eroshenko et Kazachenko, 1972) is a sibling species of G. rostochiensis. It is also widespread parasitizing in roots of Artemisia rubripes Nakai.
