Results from first experiments on microclonal propagation of Mongolian oak in the Laboratory of Biology and Soil Sciences of the Far Eastern Branch of the Russian Academy of Science (FEB RAS) are presented. The retrieval of raw material from juvenile specimens could be demonstrated. The best growth of explants was observed on BAP (6-Benzylaminopurine) with a concentration of 0.1 mg/l and GA3 (Gibberellic acid, 0.2 mg/l). The number of sprouts produced from oak grown in various environments was different - from 1 to 9 pcs. The viability and relevance of in vitro methods for the recovery of oak forests in the territory of Primorsky Krai was proven.
