In the absence of a suitable technique for determining the age of the brown bear, we created a simple and straightforward method based on literature data and our own observations. The basis of this method is the simultaneous use of various parameters of the skull to more accurately determine the age of the brown bear: size and weight of the parameters, the degree of obliteration of the joints, the degree of wear of the teeth, the development of the ridges. The proposed method contributes not destructive determination of age, to distinguish a non-vozrelyh specimens from adult bears, and also include the skull of an adult animal to one of the five selected age groups.
