Changes in the content of labile humic substances, humus, and microflora in bleached meadow-brown soils of the Primor’e region have been studied at the application of different rates of mineral fertilizers and herbicide. Differences in the optical parameters of soils and their components (humic acids) have been established. A correlation between the optical properties and microbiological activity of soils has been assessed.
