During mycological monitoring in the summer of 2025, a new species of ascomycete fungus, Caloscypha fulgens (Pers.) Boud., was discovered in the Botchinsky Nature Reserve. This Holarctic species is rare in the Russian Far East. This new discovery allowed us to clarify the distribution of Caloscypha fulgens in the Far East. To date, the species diversity of ascomycetes of the order Pezizales in the plant communities of the Botchinsky Nature Reserve (43 species) is the highest among the protected areas we studied in Khabarovsk Krai.
