The problem of wild ginseng (Panax ginseng) conservation in the Ussuri Nature Reserve is discussed. Facts of illegal harvesting of that endangered relict plant documented in regular reports of the reserve for the period 1973–2017 are presented. Ginseng is found to be more widely distributed within the territory of the Ussuri Nature Reserve than that was known before. That fact as well as successful natural reproduction of the plant demonstrates progress in wild ginseng conservation in the Reserve.
