Floral biology of Far-Eastern herbaceous Aralias in arboretum of the V.L. Komarov Mountain-Taiga Station

Floral biology of Aralia continentalis Kitag. and A. cordata Thunb. growing in arboretum of the Mountain-Taiga Station is described. Daily and seasonal cycles of flowering and insects' pollination were revealed. It became clear that xenogamy and geitonogamy are the principal breeding systems for both species.
