Vladimir Leontyevich Komarov is one of the remarkable and talented resear- chers of the nature, the outstanding traveller and the scientist. V. L. Komarov is a founder of science in the Russian Far East. He has made the significant con- tribution to development of botany. His works have defined the directions of further botanical researches. The “V.L. Komarov Memorial Lectures” founded in 1946 are the confirmation of his outstanding influence to the development of Far Eastern Botany.
